Travelia (the "Site") — the website at travelia.net, its source code, its
design, and the compiled destination dataset it serves (the "Data") — is a
free service provided by Pavel Horak (the "Author"). It is free to USE. It is
NOT free to COPY, HOST, or REDISTRIBUTE.


1. WHAT YOU MAY DO

   - Use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial trip planning.
   - Link to travelia.net.
   - Quote small excerpts with attribution and a link back to travelia.net.


2. WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO

   Without the Author's prior written permission, you may not:

   - Copy, mirror, rehost, republish, or redeploy the Site or any substantial
     part of it, on any domain or platform, whether or not modified, and
     whether or not for profit.
   - Extract, scrape, download in bulk, or reuse a substantial part of the
     Data — including the served .arrow / .json / tile artifacts — or build a
     competing or derivative product or dataset from them.
   - Remove, obscure, or alter this notice, the on-map attribution, or any
     copyright, credit, or source line.
   - Hotlink the Site's data or tile files from another site or application.

   These restrictions apply independently of the code license below: even
   where source is made available, the hosted Site, its brand, and the Data
   remain the Author's and may not be rehosted.


3. RIGHTS RESERVED

   - Copyright in the Site, its code, its design, and the Data compilation is
     owned by the Author and protected by copyright law.
   - The Data compilation is additionally protected as a database under the
     EU/EEA sui generis database right (Directive 96/9/EC): substantial
     extraction or re-utilisation is prohibited.
   - "Travelia", the Travelia name and logo are trademarks of the Author.
     Using them for a copied or competing service is prohibited.


4. THIRD-PARTY SOURCES & ATTRIBUTION

   Travelia is built on open data and open services, and gratefully credits
   them. These upstream sources carry their OWN licenses, which govern the
   underlying facts (not this compilation) and which Travelia complies with:

   - Destination backbone and geography from GeoNames (CC BY) and coastlines
     from Natural Earth (public domain).
   - Climate normals (temperature, precipitation, solar) from WorldClim
     (CC BY 4.0); sea-surface temperature from the NOAA OISST monthly
     climatology (public domain).
   - Safety signal combined from US State Department travel advisories and UK
     FCDO foreign travel advice (Crown copyright / Open Government Licence),
     with World Bank intentional-homicide rates (CC BY 4.0).
   - Map basemap © CARTO, © OpenStreetMap contributors.
   - Built-heritage density derived from OpenStreetMap via Overpass — © OSM
     contributors, Open Database License (ODbL); the derived layer is shared
     under ODbL's terms.
   - Cultural / place data from Wikidata (CC0) and Wikipedia.
   - Live weather & UV/sunset from Open-Meteo; FX from frankfurter.dev;
     public holidays from date.nager.at.
   - Monsoon wind-flow field from the NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis 1 monthly
     climatology (NOAA/PSL, public domain); tropical-cyclone seasonality
     tabulated from IBTrACS (NOAA, public domain).
   - Destination photos hotlinked from Wikimedia Commons, Unsplash, and
     Pexels under their respective terms; credited in-app.

   Nothing here claims ownership of those upstream facts. Section 2 concerns
   Travelia's own compilation, code, design, and brand.


5. NO WARRANTY

   The Site and Data are provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind.
   Prices, advisories, weather, and all figures are estimates for comparison
   only, are not offers, and may be wrong or out of date. The Author is not
   liable for any loss arising from use of the Site.


6. CODE LICENSE

   Where the Author publishes Travelia source code, it is licensed under the
   PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0
   (https://polyformproject.org/licenses/noncommercial/1.0.0/): free for
   noncommercial use, no commercial use or commercial hosting. This does not
   grant any right to rehost the Site or reuse the Data (Sections 2–3).


7. PERMISSIONS & TAKEDOWNS

   For licensing, commercial use, or any permission request, contact the
   Author. Infringing copies will be pursued via DMCA / hosting-provider and
   ad-network takedown and, where applicable, database-right and trademark
   enforcement.
